Love Locks are a custom where couples fix a padlock onto a public fixture which symbolizes their undying love for each other, in some countries it is supposed to bring good luck. Certain superstitious couples write messages on the padlocks and throw away the key. This tradition is spreading around the World and is quite popular in South Korea, Japan, Guam, Italy, Hungary, Latvia, Russia, etc. I’m fairly surprised I haven’t heard about this until now.

This huge Lego map of Europe was built by Vanessa Graf, Tanja Kusserow-Kurth, Torsten Scheer, Bruno Kurth and Tobias Reichling part of the Euromap Project. The map itself, without the monuments, uses 53,500 Lego elements, and is 12.5 ft (480 studs) on a side.
