Jimi Hendrix Plectrum Mosaic

The Jimi Hendrix Mosaic is made from 5,000 different plectrums made by artist Ed Chapman.   The mosaic was auctioned at a charity event on February 24th, 2011 for the Cancer Research UK’s Sound & Vision fundraiser event.   The portrait was sold for  £23,000!

“I am very happy to have raised so much money from something that was fun to make. Jimi is a guitar legend and nobody played a Fender guitar quite like him.
