The series is an extended pun on a popular type of sushi roll dubbed the battleship. This, I think, is a model of the Kongo — a battleship that sank in World War II.

Cityscape made of carved potatoes was created in Istanbul by 33-year old artist Peter Root. The city took an insane 176lbs of spuds using a kitchen knife and bicycle repair kit!
