Space Saving Expandable Table

Fletcher Capstan Table Schwatz by DB Fletcher Design. The table unlocks then rotates while it expands and interlocks after it turns about 30˚. The table can easily fit about 6 people with a little bit of elbow room left over when in it’s smaller form and after it expands about 12 people can be seated.

The Knitting Clock

365 is a knitting clock made by German designer Siren Elise Wilhelmsen. The knitting clock features a knitting machine with 48 needles, a thread spool, a thread holder and a roll of yarn. One whole clockwise rotation is the equivalent of one full day and a year will give you a 2 meter long complete scarf. The knitting clock was displayed at at DMY International Design Festival in Berlin.

Kakuzai Wood Memo Block by Kenjiro Sano. Looks like a regular block of wood, but as you can see it’s a cool sticky note pad. Paper makes it’s way back into the form of wood, in the form of 1200 post-it notes. Each post-it sheet is individually printed with a wood grain design.

Creatives involved will receive a brand new pair of NIKE shoes and will be asked to use sport as inspiration to challenge their function. Herrlict Hand Crafted Wooden Glasses by designer Andreas Licht. Beautiful frames with individual grains of wood that is preserved just like rings in a tree. The frame is made of 100% wood. Cool design, I just hope this isn’t a fire hazard considering the glass and wood combination.
